He coached both my sons when they were Secondary as well as in JC. He is very thorough in teaching concepts, laying strong foundation and then making them solve challenging worksheets. My sons’ grades in Chemistry improved at least by 2 grades within months of going to his classes.

Chemistry was their strongest subject by the time of A levels.

I am incredibly grateful to Mr Daw Shyan for helping me overcome many challenges when studying for Chemistry A Levels. I had a tough time adapting to the increased workload and the academic rigour of the syllabus in Junior College, but Mr Daw Shyan encouraged me to keep going and keep my eyes on the final goal - the real A Levels exam. By revising with Mr Daw Shyan, I was able to get better at tackling the different permutations of the Chemistry exam papers even though my school kept throwing increasingly difficult questions at me.

Dion helped all our three children, both through ‘O’ level Chemistry and ‘A’ level (H2) chemistry. Our eldest daughter was having some difficulties in Organic Chemistry (H2 Chemistry in JC2). Within 6 months, she acquired a deeper understanding and has improved.

Our second child started classes with him in his 1st year in JC and our third child studied with him in the beginning of Sec 4. Dion’s classes helped them understand Chemistry concepts better ....
